St. Joseph's High School is known for her moral reputation, deep human values and character development of her pupils, along with a sound background in High School education. It is run by the Diocese of Kottar. As a Catholic high school, all her pupils without any exception are fully involved in religious studies and spiritual activities. The school curriculum is based on the pattern prescribed by the State Secondary Education Board of the Tamil Nadu. The school admits pupils not only from Rajakamangalam Thurai but also from neighbouring villages. There are about 356 pupils (181 Boys and 175 Girls) are currently being educated in our school.

History of St.Joseph’s High School

           About 90 years ago, our elders who foresaw the future, founded a primary school with 1^st and 2^nd std only near the church. They could extend this further to 3^rd, 4th and 5^th std in the year 1929. Again in 1982 they laid a foundation for a new construction. It got the approval in 1983 and got the status as Middle School. Later in 1987, there was yet another new building was erected and promoted to the status of High School. Here we express our sincere gratitude to Rev. Frs. Eugine and Honorius for their relentless efforts and hard works in upgrading the status of our school.  

      We hope and believe that soon we would get a Higher Secondary School, for our people have a strong thirst for knowledge and education.
