Members become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced programme of prayer and service. Works include door-to-door evangelization, parishioner visitation, visiting   the sick and the aged, crowd contact, religious education, visiting the newly baptized, going round the Statue of the Virgin Mary as pilgrims, and meeting the other spiritual needs of the parish community. Legionaries are under the guidance of a spiritual director.

          Members meet once a week for prayer, planning and discussion in a family setting. Then they do two hours of definite work each week in pairs under the guidance of their spiritual director. During the meetings, the sessions start with introductory prayers to the Holy Spirit and to Mother Mary. These include five decades of the Rosary. The following part of the session includes a spiritual reading and administrative matters. Each member tells in short how he or she has fulfilled their tasks assigned to them in the previous session. They also discuss and/or read a chapter from the Handbook of the Legion, afterwards the Spiritual director or (if he is absent) the President delivers a short homily on spiritual matters. Finally, the new tasks for the legionaries are assigned. Each meeting ends with a concluding prayer.

          The Legion of Mary of our parish has got a few subdivisions and each one is guided by an active spiritual director.
